uPVC Vinyl with Integral Colors

• The white & beige colors are integral to the vinyl, so they will never need refinishing

Finish Option - Polyurethane

• High-performance, heat-reflective polyurethane exterior color coatings made specifically for vinyl
• Meets performance requirements of AAMA 615-05 voluntary testing procedures for organic coatings on plastic profiles
• 10-year warranty extended directly to the homeowner (view Warranties)
• Warranty is transferable to subsequent homeowners
• Over 25 vibrant colors to choose from
• Custom colors are available; simply provide a sample to your dealer

Polyurethane Finish Colors

Accessories Option - Exterior Trim for Latitude Series

To ease installation and provide a professional finish, many accessories and trim options are offered for Latitude Series windows and doors. 

• Available in either white or beige
• Applied by snapping into the exterior accessory grove that is an integral part of the window or door frame

NOTE:  Please contact your Kolbe dealer about the availability of any accessories not listed here.  Trim is not available on bow or bay units.

uPVC Extrusions for Vinyl Units

• The white & beige colors are integral to the vinyl, so they will never need refinishing
• For Windquest IP units to meet Miami-Dade NOA, they must be white vinyl; IP units that are beige vinyl or color-coated can qualify for IPD4 and HVHZ, but DO NOT qualify for Miami-Dade NOA

Finish Option - Wood Look for Vinyl Units

Complement your interior decor by selecting one of our wood-look options, for vinyl units:

• White laminate wrap available for the interior of beige units

Standard Double Pane Insulating Glass for Energy Efficiency across U.S. Climate Zones

• Specially-designed, heat-activated coating augments the energy efficiency

Glass Option - For Safety, Security & Quiet

5. Laminated Glass - two pieces of glass fused together with a plastic interlayer

• Helps prevent broken glass from causing injury
• Helps to protect against intruders
• Greater UV blockage prevents furniture and fabrics from fading
• Reduces sound transmission

NOTE: Either one or both pane(s) may be laminated. If products must meet specific impact or design pressure ratings, they may or may not incorporate laminated glass, and may require construction and structural modifications as well.

Glass Option - Neat Glass

You may request Neat® glass on any product with double or triple pane glass and LoE coating(s)*. Here are the benefits:

1. Rain sheets off more efficiently, so water spotting is reduced
2. Dirt washes away in the rain more readily, so you spend less time cleaning
3. Allows more daylight in than comparable competitive products

How does it work?

A titanium dioxide layer is applied, which reacts chemically with the sun's UV rays and causes organic materials to decompose. When it rains, the dirt rinses away. Plus smoother glass is cleaner glass. The sputter coating process makes the glass ultra smooth, so the water "sheets off" more readily than it would on uncoated glass, and it allows more visible light transmittance than any comparable competitive product.

Finely Crafted Glass

• Custom glass options catch and beautifully cast light into your home; some finely crafted glass may include:
  • Clear Baroque glass (#1 shown) or Colored Baroque glass (Gray, #10)
  • Clear Beveled glass (#2 shown) or Colored Beveled glass (Gray, #8)
  • Colored Glass in Custom Designs (#3)
  • V-Grooves (#4), Etched Patterns and/or Frosted glass
  • Colored Water glass (Pink, #5 shown) or Clear Water glass (#7)
  • Brass (#9), Lead, or Zinc (#6) Caming
• Crafted elements are within a Triple Pane Insulating Glass unit to make cleaning easy, protect the beauty, and add insulating value
• Many types obscure visibility for increased privacy

NOTES: Other patterns may be available by special order. Rain and Flutex are not available with PDL bars on the obscure glass surface. Ratings for products with obscured or wired glass and/or stained glass shall be deemed to be equivalent to the ratings for clear glass (NFRC 200 Section 4.5.G).

Performance Divided Lites (PDL) for Latitude Series vinyl products

The Performance Divided Lite (PDL) system uses a single insulating glass unit, which offers much better U-factors than true divided lite units. This is due to the large, unobstructed thermal break created by airflow within the insulating glass unit. 

Construction

• Beveled bars are adhered to the exterior and interior of the insulating glass unit
• Champagne-colored bars are held within the insulating glass unit

PDL bars

• Exterior & interior bars are finished to match the exterior or interior of the window or door unit
• Optional bar widths:  7/8", 1-1/8", 1-3/4" and 2-1/4"

NOTE: PDL is not available for single hungs, single sliders, or picture slider windows. PDL is not available for Latitude Series products with triple pane insulating glass units.

Grilles-in-the-Airspace (GIA) for vinyl products

• Achieves a style similar to true divided panes with unique benefits
• Aluminum bars are sealed within the "airspace" of insulating glass units*
• Easy to clean, with no obstruction on the interior or exterior of the glass unit
• The bars allow air-flow throughout the insulating glass unit, creating an unobstructed thermal break, maintaining an energy efficiency not possible with true divided panes

*For triple pane units, the bars are held within the exterior airspace. GIA are not available on Latitude Series units with triple pane glass or Windquest EP doors.
