Crank-out casement windows are hinged at the side, allowing for excellent ventilation. Easy-to-operate crank handles fold down when not in use, preventing interference with blinds. Specially-designed operating arms and gears help the sash close and lock tightly to the frame. Motorized operators are available for nearly effortless operation. Weatherstripping helps to prevent air infiltration. A tight seal makes crank-out casements extremely energy efficient.
Adjustable hinges allow many crank-out casements to be opened 90° for cleaning from the interior. Multi-point locks are standard on most units, offering convenience and security. Recently, Casement Crank-Out EP models were added to the Ultra Series. These models offer triple pane glass as standard, for optimal energy performance. Crank-Out Casements in the Latitude & Windquest Series offer triple pane glass as an option.
