Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum

Wausau, Wisconsin

Ultra Series extruded aluminum clad casements, transoms, picture windows and outswing

commercial doors with a 70% PVDF fluoropolymer high performance finish in Timberwolf and

a custom White Oak interior.

The Woodson Art Museum has been enhancing lives through art since it opened in 1976. Housed in

a two-story English Tudor home on a four-acre estate, the museum features a permanent collection,

educational programs, and changing exhibitions, most notably the annual, internationally-acclaimed Birds

in Art show. The museum’s founders established what has become the Museum’s guiding spirit – the

marriage of art and nature. Kolbe windows and doors were chosen for the expansion and renovation

project because of their ability to provide beautiful views with artisan-quality craftsmanship. A bank of Kolbe

casements overlooks the beautiful gardens, allowing visitors to enjoy the outdoors, even when inside.
